Scuba Adventures Return Policy & Terms of Sale
These Terms of Sale apply to all purchases made from Aquatic Ventures LLC dba Scuba Adventures (“Scuba Adventures”), including training courses, merchandise, equipment service, and other services.
By completing a purchase online, in-store, or through any Scuba Adventures sales channel, the customer agrees to the terms below.
1. Course Purchases
- 1.1 Open Water Courses: Refunds are available before participation in any confined water training session (“Water Work”), less the cost of issued online learning materials.
When purchased as part of the Open Water course package, the combined value of the SDI Open Water and Computer Nitrox online learning materials is $200, which is non-refundable once issued.
- 1.2 Other Courses: Cancellations made before Water Work begins are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
Online learning materials are non-refundable once issued.
- 1.3 Water Work: “Water Work” means participation in any confined water training session conducted in the Scuba Adventures pool, regardless of completion.
Participation in any confined water session constitutes the start of training.
- 1.4 Course Expiration: Courses must be commenced within 12 months of purchase or the course fee is forfeited.
Certification completion timelines may also be subject to the standards of the applicable training agency.
- 1.5 Training Schedule Changes: Training schedules may be changed or rescheduled subject to applicable fees.
Rescheduling policies vary depending on the course, instructor availability, and facility reservations.
Open Water courses follow the rescheduling structure below unless otherwise specified:

Rescheduling fees must be paid before additional training sessions can be scheduled or certifications processed.
Scuba Adventures reserves the right to modify training schedules due to:
- weather
- facility availability
- instructor availability
- environmental conditions
- other circumstances beyond our control.
- 1.6 Training Participation & Learning Agreement: Participation in training programs at Scuba Adventures is subject to the Scuba Adventures Learning Agreement, which outlines the responsibilities of both students and instructional staff.
Students are responsible for completing assigned preparation, including online learning and academic requirements, and for arriving on time and prepared for scheduled sessions.Failure to complete required preparation or failure to follow course procedures may require additional sessions. Any resulting costs are the responsibility of the student as outlined in the Learning Agreement.
By enrolling in training, the student agrees to comply with the Scuba Adventures Learning Agreement and all instructor directions during the course.
2. Merchandise Returns
- 2.1 Standard Return Policy:
- Within 14 days of purchase
Full refund for new, unused items in original packaging. - 15–30 days
Refund less 25% restocking fee. - After 30 days
No returns or refunds accepted.
Special Orders
Items ordered specifically for a customer and not normally stocked by Scuba Adventures are subject to a 35% restocking fee.
- 2.2 Hygiene and Life-Support Equipment: For hygiene and life-support safety reasons, items used, installed, submerged in open water, or removed from sealed packaging may not be returned.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- regulators once pressurized
- wetsuits once used in water
- mouthpieces
- other personal-contact equipment.
Equipment purchased for training and used only during confined water sessions at Scuba Adventures may be eligible for exchange or store credit within 14 days, at the discretion of Scuba Adventures.
- 2.3 Equipment Fit & Training Use: Customers are encouraged to test newly purchased equipment during confined water training sessions when possible.
Customers are responsible for confirming proper fit and function of equipment before using it in open water or travel environments.Equipment used outside of Scuba Adventures training sessions may not be eligible for return.
- 2.4 Package Incentives: If returned items invalidate promotional or package pricing, the transaction will be recalculated at full retail price for retained items, and refunds will be adjusted accordingly.
3. Refund Processing
- 3.1 Refunds are issued to the original payment method whenever possible.
A 3.5% processing fee will be retained on refunds for purchases made by credit or debit card to offset non-refundable payment processing costs.
- 3.2 Payment Disputes: Customers agree to contact Scuba Adventures directly in writing to info@scubaplano.com to resolve any concerns regarding purchases, refunds, or services before initiating a credit card dispute or chargeback.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting Scuba Adventures to seek resolution may delay or prevent resolution of the underlying issue.
4. General Conditions
All returns and refunds are subject to inspection and evaluation of product condition.
Returns on purchases older than 12 months are not accepted.
Scuba Adventures reserves the right to deny returns or refunds that do not meet these terms.
5. Repair & Service Work
Equipment service and repair work is governed by the Scuba Adventures Repair & Service Agreement, which is executed at the time equipment is dropped off for service.
6. Travel Programs
Dive travel programs, group trips, and expeditions are governed by the Scuba Adventures Travel Terms & Conditions, which apply separately to all travel bookings.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scuba Adventures’ liability for any claim related to goods or services shall not exceed the amount paid for the product or service in question.
Scuba Adventures shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
