The SDI Snorkeler Diver Course is designed to give students the necessary skills to efficiently snorkel in conditions similar to their training without the direct supervision of an instructor.
Snorkeling is the use of mask fins and snorkel to primarily swim on the surface while being able to keep your face in the water without having to lift your head to breathe. Periodically you may dive below the surface for a short period of time to exam something closer.
The Snorkeling Course is designed to teach participants the basics of snorkeling, including proper equipment use, breathing techniques, and surface swimming skills. It’s perfect for individuals or families who want to explore the underwater world comfortably from the surface. The course focuses on safety, technique, and enhancing your underwater experience.
Snorkeling classes at Scuba Adventures Plano are scheduled based on demand and instructor availability. Because we have our own 16-foot-deep pool, we can be accommodating with scheduling as long as it doesn’t conflict with other events. We typically offer sessions on weekends or select weekdays. If you're interested in learning to snorkel or improving your skills, contact us to check the upcoming schedule or arrange a private session.
No prior snorkeling experience is required. The course is designed for anyone interested in trying snorkeling, regardless of their experience level.
The course is typically completed in one day, with a 2.5-3 hour session in the pool under the supervision of a certified instructor.
The course fee includes all the necessary snorkeling equipment for the pool session, professional instruction, and an overview of basic scuba safety and techniques.
