Scuba Adventures offers your child or scouts the ability to earn several Boy Scout Merit Badges at our facility. We have approved Merit Badge Counselors on staff to assist you, your troop or your child with obtaining Boy Scout Merit Badges. We can teach the following Merit Badges: Scuba Diving Merit Badge, Swimming Merit Badge, and First Aid Merit Badge. We have an indoor, heated swimming pool for all water activities and a state-of-the-art classroom for all class-related activities.
Scuba Adventures can also help you raise money through our Boy Scout Fundraising Program.
Earn The Scuba Diving Merit Badge
Is your troop ready to jump in and get the Scuba Diving Merit Badge?! Scuba diving is a life-changing experience that enables you to embrace challenges in a whole new way. The first breath underwater, the feeling of total weightlessness as you fly through the water enables you to be part of something so amazing it transforms your life.
Thousands of scouts have delved into the world of scuba diving with Scuba Adventures through jamboree, local camporees, and high adventure trips. And now that the BSA and SDI (Scuba Diving International) have teamed up to offer the Scuba Diving Merit Badge, there are countless opportunities for Scouts to explore the thrill of scuba diving.
Scuba Diving Merit Badge Schedule
All Scuba Diving Merit Badge Classes are scheduled over two days
For individual scouts, you can attend any of our Open Water Scuba classes for the public.
If you are a troop and want to schedule a private class for your troop, please give us a call at 972-423-3483 and ask us about scheduling a class just for your troop!
Earn The Swimming Merit Badge
Swimming is a leisure activity, a competitive sport, and a basic survival skill. Scouts who earn this badge will learn about safety when swimming and diving, how swimming can contribute to overall fitness and health, and gain some basic competitive swimming skills.
The Swimming Merit Badge program requires at least two buddy teams to effectively conduct the course. And it’s required for the rank of Eagle Scout.
Swimming Merit Badge Schedule
Scuba Adventures offers the Boy Scout Swimming Merit Badge on select Saturdays from 8am-11am.
Our indoor, heated pool is perfect for year-round training! Whether it’s just an individual scout or a whole troop, we can meet your Swimming Merit Badge needs!
Don’t see a schedule that fits for your troop? Let us know and we will schedule something around your needs.
Earn The First Aid Merit Badge
In the company gym, an older gentleman complains of chest pains and uncomfortable pressure in his chest, a schoolmate suddenly collapses on the playground, a total stranger gasps for breath in a restaurant….these things happen every day to everyday people. Some of them just need a helping hand, while others may suffer permanent injury or even death without immediate attention.
In the First Aid Merit Badge course, you will learn the necessary emergency primary and secondary care steps in the right order, so you do the right things at the right time.
First Aid Merit Badge Schedule
All First Aid Merit Badge classes are held on select Saturday mornings from 8am – 11am.
Don’t see a schedule that fits for your troop? Let us know and we will schedule something around your needs.
Earn The Lifesaving Merit Badge
No Boy Scout will ignore a plea for help. However, the desire to help is little use unless one knows how to give the proper aid.
The main purpose of the Lifesaving merit badge is to prepare Scouts to assist those involved in water accidents, teaching them the basic knowledge of rescue techniques, the skills to perform them, and the judgment to know when and how to act so that they can be prepared for emergencies.
Lifesaving Merit Badge Schedule
All Lifesaving Merit Badge classes are held on Saturdays from 8am-11am
