I just finished the SDI Advanced Buoyancy class at Scuba Adventures in Plano and I can say that the class was excellent. A lot of technical knowledge was shared and the exercises in the pool were invaluable. We had great instructors, who were very patient and attentive. Barry and Enrique did an excellent job of explaining and demonstrating buoyancy. I was so glad that I took the class.
I took their SCUBA refresher course and found it to be thorough and helpful. The content and format was exactly what I needed and the instructor used a checklist to assure he covered the curriculum. My only suggestion for improvement is for the instructor to stick to the material and not include long-winded stories of his personal diving experiences during the class. He added about 15 minutes to the duration. After the class was over he continued to brag about his cave diving, etc, and I had to interrupt him to point out that one of his students (an 82 year old) needed his help getting his equipment out of the pool.
My wife and I just received our Open Water Scuba certification from Scuba Adventures Plano. Their instructors are absolutely top notch. They love what they do and take pride in making sure they thoroughly teach their students. The shop was very helpful with assisting newbies like us make equipment purchases that were the best fit and most appropriate for our skill set.We also really appreciated their thorough communication and availability for questions. We’re looking forward to going on one of their scuba trips with them some time in the future. If they are run as well as their classes or shop, it will be top notch. We highly recommend them!
I recently completed my Nitrox cert and diver refresher course, after not diving for several years. The SDI instructor hit the important aspects of safety and skills, making it feel like it was only yesterday since my last dive. The staff accommodated my request to try out some of the gear they sell which really helped in making a purchasing decision. This was my dive-shop back in the late 90s and I”m pleased to see how they have evolved and continued to strive for training excellence. I definitely recommend this shop for any newbs or veteran divers alike.
Always happy faces to greet you in this place , and what’s not to love when the business is all about Scuba?! Picked up a great deal on one of their used wetsuits, still a number available in pretty good condition (some just had their tags pulled even). So drop in to take a look before they’re gone. Plus tons of classes available too.
Can’t say enough good things about this place. From classes to customer service in the shop, every interaction has been stellar. They are attentive to your needs foremost, and go above and beyond to provide the best experience possible.
Just got back from a trip on the Aggressor In Belize. Had an amazing time. Best vacation so far.. Can’t wait for the next Aggressor trip to Turks and Caicos. Don’t hesitate jump on the trips when they are posted. You can’t go wrong when you travel with Scuba Adventure Plano..❤️❤️Can’t figure out how to do a 2nd review so just updating. Just got back from a trip on the Aggressor in Turks and Caicos. We had a blast, made new friends and spent quality time with some old friends. Can’t say enough good things about Scuba Adventure Plano. I’ve learn so much from so many genuinely good people! ❤️❤️❤️
Super lovely team and company to deal with. They looked after our client wonderfully – she went in a total novice and came out of her training so confident. She went on to be able to do her 1st dive trip in the Galapagos and their training allowed her to enjoy it to the full! Thank you
My youngest son recently earned his Open Water certification through Scuba Adventures. He’s a minor, so I went along as an observer for his open water checkout at The Scuba Ranch. I’ve been certified for 30+ years and my oldest certified several years before Scuba Adventures existed, so up until that point, I’d had no real exposure to the folks there. I have to say, choosing them was the best decision I could have made. The team of Brent, Barry and Shug was truly the Dream Team of diving instruction. Throughout the process, they took full advantage of every moment as a teaching opportunity with a focus on safety and practical, applicable knowledge. Everyone on the team brought something to the table that would benefit the students. Their combined knowledge and experience added value to the learning process that far exceeded the modest cost. Some might be concerned that all this “professional knowledge transfer” would be boring, but you can set your concerns aside. Diving is all about having fun, and these guys are experts at that as well. Between dives, we had a great time at the pavilion sharing stories, discussing travel and enjoying excellent snacks, including a fantastic breakfast taco meal on our second morning. Even during breaks, though, the instructors were always looking for ways to keep the students focused and learning. At one point during the weekend, Barry mentioned to me that, during his travels, he had often witnessed how poorly trained many beginners were. His goal was to have the best trained, most competent beginners on any dive boat. I can say without reservation that he and the team accomplished that goal, at least with my son. We recently returned from a trip to Roatan, and the dive masters there commented repeatedly that they couldn’t believe it was my son’s first blue-water diving experience. He was fully prepared before the dives and handled himself extremely well during and after. His buoyancy control and overall demeanor was like that of a much more experienced diver and clearly reflected the quality of the instruction he received from Scuba Adventures. If you are looking for the best, look no further. I highly recommend Scuba Adventures.
Our sons completed their Boy Scout Swimming Merit Badge this morning at Scuba Adventures of Plano. Rusty and the team there were very friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job teaching and encouraging the kids. Strongly recommend.
Great experience, highly recommend! They make it super easy to get started by texting you the links before your dive so you can fill everything out ahead of time. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was super friendly and the facilities were clean and warm. Even though it was cold outside, the water felt super nice. The instructors Brett and David were extremely helpful and attentive. They went above and beyond to help us not only learn so much, but to be comfortable with the gear. Highly recommend this scuba place, you won’t regret it !
Want to learn to dive? Scuba Adventures Plano is the place for you! They offer great classes to get you certified for Open Water, among other certification classes. The staff is friendly, encouraging, and a great support system after you get certified. I enjoyed learning about all the aspects of diving, while still having fun. I highly recommend this shop to begin your ocean adventures! Ask for Brent!
Just completed the open water certification training. David and Bonnie are the best instructors and have been patience throughout the 2 weekend pool, at scuba adventures, and open water training at scuba ranch. They are both very knowledgeable and passionate in educating students and get them through the necessary training as easy and stressless as possible. Every person at scuba adventures has been very friendly too! Autumn helped me with all the personal gears at the shop. Highly recommend!
Great instructors, awesome experience. I especially like that they have their own training pool, and their own dive pavilion at Scuba Ranch. Overall excellent experience. Both of my kids were certified here along with me. Highly recommended.
Had a very good experience going through open water certification. The instructors were very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly and led a strong series of classes. I’d gladly pursue further training here.
The experience we had with SCUBA Adventures was amazing. We came in knowing almost nothing about anything and they treated us with respect and patience. They helped us pick out the gear we needed and even let us exchange some fins while we were still attending class so we could try out another fit. The Instructors were top notch and answered the many questions we had. We will definitely be returning to rent/purchase gear and to attend more advanced classes!
This is definitely not your typical Scuba store. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they know their Scuba gear. They sell only the coolest brands and they can recommend you the best scuba trips. I did my confined water certification in their pool, they were so helpful! I will definitely continue to buy my gear there.
Wife and I are headed to Iceland and planning to dive Silfra. We had Elon as our dry suit instructor with Barry as the assist. Absolutely a great team and we feel setup for success. Thank you Scuba Adventures and Elon!
I completed my open water certification this weekend and am so excited. The staff at Scuba Adventures Plano truly made it a wonderful experience. Our instructor David Blasingame and Dive Master Bonnie Sanford helped me feel comfortable with the equipment and feel safe while learning the right way to dive. I could not give enough kudos to the store and staff. I honestly feel like part of the family. I love my new equipment and look forward to diving in the future with all the new friends I met over the last 2 weekends. I could not be happier with my choice. Now I’m ready for the group trips and diving the crystal blue waters around the world.
The staff at the store were very helpful from the beginning and answered questions both on the phone and in person. The Scuba Certification was a great experience and all the instructors, dive masters and dive masters in training were helpful, patient and attentive from beginning to end. Highly recommended.
Joined the scuba Adventure team to get certified for an up coming scuba trip. Had a wonderful experience and feel 110% more confident and comfortable after taking the open water course. We signed up for a private class with Brent and would definitely recommend it! Also, to add everyone at SA was nothing but helpful and fun. The whole team made the experience that much better!!
This is an amazing dive shop! Over the summer, we’ve decided to get open water certified. Scuba Adventures Plano has a team of amazing instructors and staff. David was an excellent instructor and helped us get confident in the required skills needed. Also, after completing the certification, they’ve welcomed us back to their pavilion at the Scuba Ranch in Terrell for additional dives. Each weekend we’ve visited, they’ve treated us like family and provided us with assistance when needed. Scuba Adventures has turned into my favorite place to visit to kill time, shop for equipment, and a wonderful family to be a part of when visiting the Scuba Ranch.
I took an inactive diver refresher course, after not diving für several years. Wendel and Mackenzie were AWESOME!! So patient and fun, easy going and supportive! I will definitely be signing up für some other classes. The pool was really warm, and comfy. Class size was good, not too crowded. It’s nice that the class I took was later at night, since I live a bit far from the scuba center. So glad I took this class, will definitely be back!
Wendell and Kenzie did an excellent job in our refresher course. They gave each student plenty of attention and made sure we each felt comfortable with every skill being practiced. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn scuba or further their skills!
What a great scuba shop! I am a new diver that took their open water course and then went on one of their trips (Belize Aggressor lV). The experience I gained was amazing. There are so many talented divers associated with this shop, from professional divers, instructors, and even the divers that have logged a lot of hours diving. I had all of these on my trip and each one was willing to help, give tips, encouragement and advice on how to be a better diver. And if I hadn’t asked for the advice, just watching them dive was a great example to learn from. This dive shop has created a dive family that I am grateful to be a part of! Friendships made and beautiful diving made my trip one of the best!!!
Great dive shop, whether you are looking to learn to dive, take additional training, purchase or upgrade equipment, find your next diving adventure, or just find fellow divers to connect with. Stop by. You won’t regret it!I have to add to my review. Sadly I can’t add more stars because five is all Google will allow. 😂 However, I can add more praise.I’m addition to being the premier place to learn to dive, extend your training, practice diving, and get high quality dive gear in the DFW area, Scuba Adventures also hosts great… well… adventures. I just got back from a trip to Belize for a liveaboard dive trip. Not only was the trip just a fantastic time, but I also had the opportunity when we weren’t underwater to chat with the owners quite a bit, and I can tell you that they are not only passionate about diving (which I would expect from somebody who runs a dive shop), but they are equally passionate about great customer service and treating their employees and customers like family (which I think is considerably less common in the industry).Looking for a scuba shop? You found it!
We love this dive shop and had a great first experience! We also got an Advanced Nitrox Certification included for the price along with our regular Open Water Certification.Earlier this year, we became interested in getting SDI Open Water certified. Originally, we were looking at prices at different shops thinking, “Okay, $300 or $500 each is not bad”. The more I called around, the more I realized that the total expense of it was far more than shops listed. What initially drew me to SCUBA Adventures Plano is that when I called, they picked up the phone, and when I asked about brutally-honest price estimates for the whole thing, they were able to give them accurately. Other shops tried to downplay the overall cost, but SCUBA Adventures acknowledged that it’s an expensive, but worthwhile hobby – that won my trust!Overall, per person, we spent $495 on the course itself, $40 for two-day entry at the scuba ranch, $50 on tank refills for 6 dives (of which I only used 5), $30 in optional tips to our volunteer instructor, $20 for diving boots/socks from Amazon, $20 for a basic mask/snorkel set, and $80 for a set of fins. The complete, total cost of getting scuba certified here was $735, and it came with an additional Advanced Nitrox Certification Class. If money’s an issue, I definitely recommending asking for the complete cost, including the costs of personal gear and the trip to the SCUBA ranch. Our instructors were David and Bonnie. They were some of the friendliest, passionate, patient, but strict instructors that I could ever imagine getting. There were moments where they adapted the plan around some students’ health issues, and they made everyone feel welcome. If someone did something wrong, they would tell you the seriousness of your mistakes without making you feel bad about it. Bonnie made us some awesome snacks throughout the course and David even made us some delicious BBQ out at the SCUBA ranch! They didn’t have to do this; they just want to make the certification process fun! We couldn’t have had better instructors. We also found out this place does dive trips, so we’re now watching the Facebook Page for anything fun and in budget! Since we cheap’d out on some of the equipment initially, we’ll likely be in the market for some better gear soon now that we know we love diving!
We had an outstanding experience with Scuba Adventures. We wanted to get certified before our trip this summer. We purchased gear and did all of our training at SA. At every step the staff was really engaged and helpful. They wanted to make sure our gear worked and fit correctly. The pool class was the perfect size and it really helped my kids and I get comfortable with all of the equipment. The open water experience was fantastic. We had a little trouble getting our buoyancy figured out. We never felt like we were causing a problem or dragging people behind. They had plenty of staff available to give us the attention we needed. The great team at Scuba Adventures really helped us overcome our nerves, get comfortable and get excited about our trip. We will definitely be sending people to Scuba Adventures in the future. Highly highly recommend.
Took the open water course here. Great diving and training experience. Chris is our instructor and Bruce is our dive master. Both Chris and Bruce are patient, knowledgeable and friendly. We can feel from our bottom of heart that they really want to train us to be diving ready and have taught us more than curriculum requirements. I am looking forward to continuing diving training with them.
We purchased the private class for group of 6 and it was such a fun experience! Chris is our instructor and Bruce is our dive master, they helped us and guided us through the whole training and testing . Each training sessions are very well organized and every one of us were well taken care of. Chris covered not only all SDI testing requirements but also some PADI ones and extras during the indoor pool training sessions, which we very much appreciated as when it comes to safety, you can never be too careful! And the shop staff are all very nice, they took time with you when you are buying your personal equipments and try the fittings, there is no rush and they do not try to sell you things you don’t need. When we were doing the open water testing the shop owner was even doing lottery and giving out many free gifts to people, and they cook us lunch and breakfast at the ranch. We had great fun and will definitely come back when we need professional opinions on gears or other diving classes!
We did our open water class through Scuba adventures, and had wonderful instructors, and great service. We have made equipment purchases, and not been disappointed. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Huge shoutout to Elon and Shugg. They taught a great class.
I had a great experience getting my Open Water Diver Certification here. The instructors were very knowledgable and passionate. Great to learn from people who practically make diving their life. They take their time with each person too if there is something you are struggling with. At the beginning of the instruction, I could not figure out how to equalize, and by the end, they had me dropping like a rock! I 100% would recommend to friends and family and am even thinking about doing additional courses. The folks in the shop were very helpful too, and they had a great selection.
I am a VERY SATISFIED customer of the Discover Scuba and the Open Water Certification classes. Their pool and equipment you use is VERY well kept and maintained, never any question at all of anything you use. The staff is always super bright, friendly, open to any questions, super helpful. Honestly I dunno if there’s a better dive store option in the DFW area. You’d be hard pressed to find a shop with better knowledge and staff than they got.
I spent the greatest 4 days in a long time with Brent, Sarah, and Autumn at Scuba Adventures in Plano TX doing a private open water scuba diver certification They are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and safe. not to mention a lot of fun. They take their time with you and make sure you understand everything both in the classroom and in the water. By the end of my training I actually felt I could go on dives and feel comfortable and competent. They also book fabulous trips. So really encourage you all check them out.
I can’t speak highly enough about the outstanding staff here! They’re passionate about what they do, and it shows.I took the open water certification weekend course and couldn’t make it through day 2. The military had left me with some major hangups with being under water. Rusty, our class instructor, offered to work with me individually. He gladly donated his time to help me become a diver, and it worked. I went from panic under water to actually enjoying it. There’s a different world under the waters surface and for me, Scuba Adventures opened the door to it.As for their retail business, everyone is friendly and helpful every time I stop by. They really make the customer feel like part of the family.
I actually was introduced to Scuba Adventures when I went to an aquarium convention. The staff was super friendly from the beginning and I loved hearing about their experiences. Fast forward a friend and me took their Scuba Discovery class, something that I highly HIGHLY recommend if you want to see if scuba is for you, the instructor was fun, knowledgeable and even went the extra mile to make sure everyone felt comfortable, even if they decided scuba just wasn’t for them. My friend and I ended up loving it and took their open water certification course with instructor Tom Vyles & Jason Shugart assisting. The experience was fantastic, Tom was very reassuring, informative and supportive. You truly feel like they want you to succeed and fall in love with this sport just as much as they are. Going out to the Scuba Ranch was a great experience and where I think it clicked even more so that you not only gain the ability to dive all over the world but, you become part of a family of divers. All of them willing to share their stories, photos and excitement. I am sure some people will feel some apprehension over the idea of diving but the support and encouragement of both Tom & Jason (and yes by the rest of the shop) is something that will leave an everlasting impact on you. You can be an absolute novice like me with no clue and walk out with new skills and an open door to an amazing new world. This is only the beginning and I am excited to continue my journey in diving and shops like this, with the staff and instructors they have I feel like I have found more than just a new hobby but, a community.
Such great peeps. It’s important to establish yourself with a dive shop that has safety at the forefront, and then cool stuff to buy. These guys do it all. They allowed me to try on fins. I’ve been using my very old Cressi snorkeling fins for the 13 years I’ve been diving. Swimming around their pool, one of their Dive Instructors watched my while we both were under the water. He suggested I keep my fins. We talked through the issues, and suggested I weight my ankles. Their goal is to help you be an excellently safe and an excellent diver. Then, they can sell stuff. The weights cost a lot less than a new pair of fins. That said, Mexico Airport Security confiscated my ankle weights. I will have to buy them again! I’m buying them from the dive shop instead of online because SERVICE is what you want. They service my BCD. I’ll have them service my reg. My husband had them look at his computer. These guys are divers first. They want you to be safe and have a great time. Cheers to the owners of Scuba Adventures Plano!
I have been with this shop for a long long time and got my Open Water with my 2 girls and had such a great time doing that and then later working up to my Master Diver and still having a great time with the Dive Masters and Instructors. Please look into this shop if your interested in diving as you will not go wrong as they will make you family.
Chris was a phenomenal instructor. It was our first experience with scuba diving and he made it very easy for us to learn. Chris was very patient and kind, but also very thorough and educated. He made us feel very comfortable. We absolutely recommend getting certified with Chris.
Took the advanced buoyancy course here early last year. Great course. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to improve their buoyancy skills. Great staff too. Highly recommend Scuba Adventures Plano. The on-site indoor pool is nice.
It took a long time for me to find a local dive shop that I was happy with. A great LDS is more than just the quality of the inventory and the customer service which btw is outstanding here. What really drew me to the shop was two fold. One is the quality of training. I didn’t take all my training at Scuba Adventures but I chose them for most of the more advanced training I’ve received. The instructor and dive master staff here is above and beyond from Open Water to Tech oriented classes. Second is the really great sense of community here. It’s more of a dive family than just another local dive shop. This is a place you can start with and grow with.
Great scuba shop, friendly helpful staff with no pressure sales. Very informative and knowledgeable staff who will help you out.Even after you’ve been certified, the staff at Scuba Adventures treat you like family. They hold events throughout the year, allow you to use their pool (when it’s not booked), organise dive trips, welcome you back to their pavilion at the ranch… the list of hospitality goes on…. You’d be a fool not to come here for you diving needs.
I would highly recommend the shop and team if you want to learn to dive. They are so knowledgeable and friendly! They do everything they can to make sure you have an amazing experience and will work with you if you are struggling to master a skill. I’ve already signed up for my next course with them.
Love the entire team at Scuba Adventures! Buying all my gear there was a huge benefit. Every little issue with products have been handled with the manufacturer perfectly. Could not get that service buying online. Super happy to be a member of their Scuba Family.
I’ve done a few scuba discoveries during previous trips but I didn’t really know what I was doing. I finished the open water diver course earlier this month and am definitely more confident when diving and enjoyed it a lot more. This crew is fantastic with exceptional customer service! They’re all super friendly and knowledgeable, and just want you to have fun. My awesome instructors were Zack and Preston, extremely patient and wanted to make sure I was comfortable before releasing me into the wild! Take the course, I’m sure you’ll fall in love!
Wow, I cannot believe what they did for the store this last year. The pool has a whole new makeover and the water is more clear that ever. Every tile is cleaned or new and the whole place is spotless. All the above makes a world of difference to divers, especially new divers that may be concerned about walking into uncharted territory. The staff is attentive and takes extra care with each customer and new student. Students feel secure in knowing they are getting top-notch instruction from instructors that will make every effort to make sure their diving hobby will become a lifetime sport. My wife and I worked for Dive Training Magazine for 25 years, so we’ve seen lots of stores and instructors in many countries. With that in mind, I will say that you can do no better than learning and having a relationship with Scuba Adventures Plano.
If it were possible to give this dive center more stars I would. Where do I begin to complement everyone at this center. It started when I got my gear to prep for the classes. They made sure everything fit and gave me multiple options and explained the pros and cons of each. The classes were amazing! Rusty, Barry, and Brad spent time making sure we all felt safe and could perform each skill. The open water test was also a breeze. Through the shop we were able to go to Spring Lake to dive as it was still to cold at ScubaRanch. Again, they made everything so easy. I will also say if you plan to rent any (and I mean any) equipment, this is the shop for you. When I was on my dive I had several other divers comment on the quality of equipment I had rented. They were blown away that a shop would rent out higher end equipment. If you are even remotely interested in learning to dive just stop by, they will happily answer your questions.
When I signed up to get certified last September, I had no clue that I would fall in love with a dive shop. But I did!! Seems like overnight they became a place I can’t live without. I have taken several classes with them now, and signed up for several trips. The first trip I took, Brent (the owner) traveled with us. He watched out for everyone on the trip and gave great advice . Everyone there will treat you like family. Through them I found my spot in this phase of my life. Can’t say enough good things. If you are considering trying the sport this is the place to go. They are the best!!!!❤️
My wife and I purchased snorkeling gear for an upcoming trip and were very pleased with the service, knowledge, and selection. We asked about Open water scuba classes just to get a price and soon after decided to sign up. The classes were on a weekend and very organized. The facility is clean and well organized for teaching. We both enjoyed the class and both our instructor and dive master were outstanding and very knowledgeable.
Oh my GOSH! If you want to get scuba certified, if you want to take advanced classes, if you want to become a divemaster, if you already ARE a divemaster, this is the shop for you! BEST instructors, great pool, tons of gear options. I researched a lot before I picked, but I’m SO glad I picked scuba Plano.
Absolutely the best guys to learn from. They are patient and friendly and answer any and all questions you may have.It was a great experience getting my full face mask and pool training. Highly recommend this dive shop.
My 11 year old took the introductory scuba diving class with instructors Wendell and Barry and he had an amazing time. They were both really gracious, patient, helpful, and kept things simple for all the students. My son went home feeling more confident about the diving trip he’s taking in a few weeks. He rated them a 10/10!
As someone who never before had interest in scuba diving and was fearful of the idea of even trying, I am so happy with my experience at Scuba Adventures Plano. I was able to participate in the evening courses for open water and it was so convenient for my schedule. The instructors make the experience fun while making sure you really are learning and taking in all you need to know to safely enjoy scuba diving. By the time we got to the lake after two weeks in the pool all my anxiety about scuba had disappeared. They also make you feel very much apart of the ‘scuba family’. It’s nice to know I have the resources to continue with my diving adventures at Scuba Adventures Plano. I now hope to attend one of their scuba trips in the future!
Scuba Adventure is amazing. Everyone here is knowledgeable and awesome. Just finished my scuba certification while doing the weeknight classes and it was great. It gave me something to look footpath after work. The instructors are PERFECT they truly want everyone to enjoy diving and you can tell that in the way they teach. They make you feel comfortable in the water with your gear and while working with you on skills. Scuba Adventure has genuinely made me fall in love with diving. If you are ever wondering if you should try diving do not hesitate to go for it, and make sure you go with Scuba Adventure.
Pros:- Friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful folks.- Very nice heated pool with great depth.- Great inventory and selection.- Patient and willing to share their knowledge and experience.- Ability to test and try-out demo gear in their pool.- Lots of options for classes, instruction, and continuing instruction.- Outstanding service.Cons:- Not a single one.The wife and I recently got certified overseas and I decided I wanted to get my own gear, continue learning, and dive a lot more. The wife, however, was not nearly as enthusiastic as me . . . but the kind, helpful, and welcoming staff here really helped bring her around to where she is now looking at dive vacation spots, excited about new gear, and is even interested in taking more classes!I have to give a special shout out to Rusty and Autumn who I’ve worked with the most. Rusty and Autumn learned about what our interests and possible future dive interests were, suggested appropriate equipment, and took the time to make sure we got to try everything we were considering in the water to make sure it worked for us. Needless to say, we are happy and confident in our gear selection and in the process of getting our complete setups form here.Rusty and Autumn have been immensely patient with us as new divers (okay, mainly me as I’ve talked their ears off) answering so many questions and sharing their experience and knowledge in the process. They won’t try to sell you the newest, most expensive, whiz-bang thing if you don’t need it. If anything, they’ll save you money by helping you realize what works best for your needs. You can tell they care and want to build a long-term customer relationship. If you are like me and have someone who may not be as interested in diving as you are, I encourage you to bring them here and let them get to meet the staff. What they did for my wife was address any concerns or anxiety she still had, increase her enthusiasm for the sport, and helped find equipment that made her feel much more comfortable in the water. That translates into more trips together and more enjoyable diving, which is a big win for me.I can’t thank the folks here enough for their kindness and help. I’d give y’all 10 stars if I could!
I just finished my open water and nitrox certifications with Scuba Adventures. This place is great! Customer service is absolutely top notch from a staff who is obviously passionate about scuba. The coaching and real world advice from everyone is incredibly valuable for someone like me who is new to scuba. I appreciate all the time that was invested in being sure the equipment I got was a perfect fit. This is not something I could have done shopping online. Personal thanks to everyone (Brent, Rusty, Autumn, Shug, Tom just to name a few) for your help, advice and the good times that will not be forgotten.
I can’t recommend this place enough. After moving to the area, I read a lot of reviews and emailed several dive shops before going with Scuba Adventures. I choose them because they were the most responsive and helpful. The owners seem to not only be great divers but have business backgrounds. This is the most focus on customer service I have seen in a dive shop. Good inventory with all of the brands I could ask for. On point with their pricing. If you do find a better price they will work with you.
I ended up taking the Rescue Diver course and had a blast! I just got back from a dive trip with them at Lake Travis, very enjoyable. They also have one of the only indoor pools (18 ft.) in the area.
At Scuba ranch they have a big spot that is one of the easiest to get to and a nice pavilion for training. They are right next to the air refill station, which I love! Family and friends are welcome at the ranch. Good community there on weekends and you'll most likely find a dive buddy for a fun dive.

Scuba Adventures and their staff are beyond amazing! Their Plano store has a very wide selection of equipment and the pool is 18ft deep! Their Scuba Ranch location is amazing and still growing, with plenty of room and seating. I’m a fairly new diver and all the instructors do an amazing job of making me feel safe and secure deep underwater. Their staff is always very helpful and I can’t wait to continue my diving knowledge and certificates with them.

Found a great diving shop for all my gear. Been living here in texas for awhile and this shop has just what I needed. Really recommend scuba adventure for all your gear.
Emily Winnenberg March - 2020
Went in last week to pick out goggles for an upcoming trip— loved the selection of masks they had available! Ended up picking out a hot pink pair to shamelessly match the other accessories I’d picked out.
Matt K March - 2020
The new owners are the greatest! Their positive approach towards people and the sport of diving are huge part of the reason I love the sport. When they told me they were going to open a dive shop; I knew without a doubt I was going to be their customer. I have taken several dive adventures with them and other scuba diving misfits, and plan on taking many more.
Martin Garvie February - 2020
Decided to revisit this shop since it is under new management. Already impressed with the facility improvements - by far the best training pool I have seen. Looking forward to the roll out of the full training curriculum - will be able to go from open water certified through all kinds of technical specialties. Good dive gear selection. Owners really have a great vision for promoting scuba diving and ocean adventures.

This is the shop with the most experienced and competent personnel in the metroplex. Their commitment to safe, enjoyable and professional instruction is obvious from the first time you enter the store and meet the staff and owners. I have dove with most of them over the years and know first hand the love of diving they have and now share with the community as the new team. They are knowledgeable and up to date with the latest dive info. Don't miss a chance to dive with them.

In January 2020, Scuba Adventures was purchased by divers that were affiliated with a different scuba store. These same divers taught me to dive, and got me to fall in love with scuba diving (despite me being pretty scared to start). I trust them, enough that I opted to take a trip with them to Cozumel for diving in 2019. It was one of the best trips of my life, and now I'm already signed up for their Costa Rica dive trip in 2020 with Scuba Adventures. I haven't visited the shop yet, but I can 100% vouch for the new owners--they are knowledgeable divers, good people, and all around amazing.

Owners and staff are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Allowed me to try backplate and wing set up in the pool. They did not pressure me to buy anything, but gave great information on products and financing options. All in all great staff and would recommend them to anyone!!!

Great customer service, from the owners to the employees. Very knowledgeable about everything and anything pertaining to scuba diving. The instructors are highly educated and experienced in scuba diving. They put you through real life scenarios, so you know and understand what to do in the event something happens while you are under water. My family and I learned a lot about scuba diving in a very short amount of time. We will definitely keep taking additional courses with Scuba Adventures as we progress. We definitely reccomend Scuba Adventures to anyone wanting to learn and get scuba diving certified.
