I was very nervous about learning to scuba dive so a Discovery class was offered as an introduction. It was great!! I did a private Discovery lesson with Michaela as the instructor and she was AMAZING!!! She explained everything to me, demonstrated slowly and then gave me time ( and positive feedback) when I tried the skill. I just wrapped up my SDI Open Water Certification with Scuba Adventures Plano. Everyone associated with the store was amazing, from the instructors to the people working in the shop.My pool and classroom instructor Barry was great. I was the only person in the class due to the others who were scheduled to attend had to postpone. We were able to get through everything a little quicker so some of the other class session we practiced skills and even some buoyancy stuff. I was even able to try some different bcd’s and pick his brain about diving.With the pool sessions complete I attended the open water dive session at Scuba Ranch. Dave Filas was my instructor for this part of the class and he was great! In between dives we had some great conversations about some of the other technical areas of diving. Everyone was amazing and I really enjoyed the open water sessions even with the poor visibility in the lake.I would wholeheartedly recommend going to Scuba Adventures Plano to get certified. I am planning on bringing my fiancée there so she can do a scuba refresher course before our honeymoon.Thanks again to everyone at Scuba Adventures Plano!

My girlfriend, daughter, and I went here to perform a refresher on diving since it had been many years for my girlfriend and I and my daughter was fairly new to diving. Paul instructed 8 of us in the pool they have at the shop.Paul was very patient and understanding with those with less experience. He was very thorough and spent extra time helping us with the large group. He had suggestions on finning and setting up our dive gear. We all felt he went the extra mile and appreciated his efforts. I thought the pool and equipment was excellent also. We were all very happy with the experience and would recommend it to everyone.

Overall Scuba Adventures wants to help you succeed and become a skilled diver!!**UPDATE**My son and I went on a trip to Key Largo this past week. I never realized the invaluable information Barry taught me until we went diving!! From simple weight checks to breathe control. There are so many people who get their certification and can't do a weight check!! The breathe control techniques Barry taught me, I saw in action in Florida. Since the reefs are protected and you can't touch them, breathe control is vital to success. I was able to get so close to the reef and never touch it by controlling my breathing. Without Barry's instruction I would not have been able to get so close to the reefs, there were several people on our dives who could not get close due to poor bouancy control. Thank you Barry and Scuba Adventures for all you do!!!!!

I love this place! We recently completed our open water certification down in San Marcos and had a blast even with below freezing air temperatures! From the beginning a few weeks ago in the pool with Barry and Derek, to Spring Lake with Windal and Paul, it was a wonderful experience! Michaela at the shop was extremely helpful and willing to stop whatever she was doing to make sure we were fitted for equipment properly, or to just sit with us and talk dive computers for a couple hours. They all love diving and it shows!It was a wonderful feeling when random people(not with our group) would approach us at Spring Lake and enthusiastically comment on how much they love the people/instructors from Scuba Adventures. Their reputation in the community is great and it shows!Another positive side note:There was a small child in our group of three at Spring Lake. Windal and Paul did an amazing job ensuring she was having fun working through the skills and never left her side. My son will be getting his open water cert soon and I'm so grateful I was able to watch them work with her underwater. Completed my scuba certification and have to say the Brent & Barry were amazing! They were both patient and knowledgeable. The staff in the scuba shop are also all so sweet. If you’re considering getting your certification just do it here (& sign up for a private lesson if you’re able though I saw Barry with a group and he was great with them)

I can’t recommend this place enough. After moving to the area, I read a lot of reviews and emailed several dive shops before going with Scuba Adventures. I choose them because they were the most responsive and helpful. The owners seem to not only be great divers but have business backgrounds. This is the most focus on customer service I have seen in a dive shop. Good inventory with all of the brands I could ask for. On point with their pricing. If you do find a better price they will work with you.

I ended up taking the Rescue Diver course and had a blast! I just got back from a dive trip with them at Lake Travis, very enjoyable. They also have one of the only indoor pools (18 ft.) in the area.

At Scuba ranch they have a big spot that is one of the easiest to get to and a nice pavilion for training. They are right next to the air refill station, which I love! Family and friends are welcome at the ranch. Good community there on weekends and you'll most likely find a dive buddy for a fun dive.

Scuba Adventures and their staff are beyond amazing! Their Plano store has a very wide selection of equipment and the pool is 18ft deep! Their Scuba Ranch location is amazing and still growing, with plenty of room and seating. I’m a fairly new diver and all the instructors do an amazing job of making me feel safe and secure deep underwater. Their staff is always very helpful and I can’t wait to continue my diving knowledge and certificates with them.

Looking forward to the roll out of the full training curriculum - will be able to go from open water certified through all kinds of technical specialties. Good dive gear selection. Their commitment to safe, enjoyable and professional instruction is obvious from the first time you enter the store and meet the staff and owners. I have dove with most of them over the years and know first hand the love of diving they have and now share with the community as the new team. In January 2020, Scuba Adventures was purchased by divers that were affiliated with a different scuba store. These same divers taught me to dive, and got me to fall in love with scuba diving (despite me being pretty scared to start). I trust them, enough that I opted to take a trip with them to Cozumel for diving in 2019. It was one of the best trips of my life, and now I'm already signed up for their Costa Rica dive trip in 2020 with Scuba Adventures. I haven't visited the shop yet, but I can 100% vouch for the new owners--they are knowledgeable divers, good people, and all around amazing.

Great customer service, from the owners to the employees. Very knowledgeable about everything and anything pertaining to scuba diving. The instructors are highly educated and experienced in scuba diving. They put you through real life scenarios, so you know and understand what to do in the event something happens while you are under water. My family and I learned a lot about scuba diving in a very short amount of time. We will definitely keep taking additional courses with Scuba Adventures as we progress. We definitely reccomend Scuba Adventures to anyone wanting to learn and get scuba diving certified.
