I have now taken a few courses through this shop, and I have experienced a massively high level of commitment to customer service, safety, and professionalism. Notably Autumn who I believe manages the store, and most recent dive instructor Mitzi Holdren.This past weekend Mitzi led my rescue diver training and Autumn assisted on the 1st of 2 days. Autumn, as always, was extremely helpful and supportive. I especially feel compelled to call out Mitzi as the best dive instructor with whom I’ve ever worked. I hold advanced open water and several specialty certifications.I told Mitzi I’m not there to brag about a new “card”, rather I felt a moral obligation to learn rescue diver skills. Mitzi was incredibly patient, instructive, and tough when she needed to be. I failed to adequately demonstrate the necessary skills on Saturday, and she clearly stated that to me, but she went out of her way to make it clear that this was not a failure, it was a normal part of a very challenging process. She then made herself available to me the next day to work on the skills, giving me every possible opportunity to perform the skills sufficiently to pass the corse.This was not a certification I “bought”. It was earned through hard work and commitment on my part, but without the professionalism, clear communication, integrity, expertise, sense of humor, and tough love from my instructor, I would not have achieved what may be the hardest thing I’ve ever done.Thank you Brent and Scuba Adventures for connecting me with Mitzi. I am a better diver thanks to you all.

I just finished up my scuba refresher course @ Scuba Plano. It was a great experience and Derrick was AWESOME! He made the class fun, he was very knowledgeable, and he made sure to answer any questions that we had.

I have to shout out Scuba Adventures. We booked for snorkeling class months in advance because we were going to open water to swim with whalesharks and my daughter had never snorkeled. A booking snafu potentially could have ruined our training but they demonstrated the highest customer service and resolved our issue quickly. Thanks to Doug, our instructor, we accomplished our bucketlist goal with confidence.Tip- they may require a doctor's note to ok training so be sure to fill out health forms asap and give yourself time.

Just completed open water certification with Barry at scuba ranch. Also worked in the pool with Preston the week before. Both amazing and patient instructors. My son and I took the class together and it was great to see his progression as well as my own. Highly recommend Scuba Adventures. We have also done Boy Scout merit badges with them, including swimming and life saving. The staff at the shop are also amazing and will work with you with infinite patience as you find just the right gear!

My son had a wonderful experience doing the discovery dive today with Bary. I wanted my son to love diving so we can celebrate an upcoming birthday diving as a family. Great experience getting my scuba certification here! The staff were super supportive and kind. Even when I wanted to give up, they told me, “we don’t give up on you until you give up on us.” Special thanks to my instructor Tom Vyles he was patient, knowledgeable, and always made me feel safe and confident in the water. He even took some great graduation photos for me, which I’ll always appreciate. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experiences this weekend with final certification. Barry and Zack were terrific. The entire staff is patient and encouraging. I highly recommend for anybody considering scuba certification. The shop owner is also fantastic to work with and the store environment is very inviting. It was also wonderful getting to do the first weekend in the pool at the store.

I can’t say enough about how great Scuba Adventures is!My husband I initially did the scuba exploration and had a blast! I felt so comfortable and safe, the best part was the instructor never pushed anyone to go in the deep end and even said that if you’d prefer to do it another day you could.After our scuba exploration class we signed up for the open water certification where we had 4 classes over 4 weeks with a weekend certification event. Our instructors, Enrique and Barry, were amazing! They made the entire class fun and engaging, most importantly they made sure everyone was comfortable. I have anxiety and sometimes it took me longer to do the activities but both Enrique and Barry were always there making sure we calmed down and took our time. They were so kind and funny and it was really a great class.The weekend trip to the scuba ranch was also really fun, it gave us a chance to put our skills to the test! Most importantly, no one was ever left behind, we worked as a team and did our best. I highly recommend Scuba Adventures!

This is the only SCUBA shop I make my bigger purchases with, and I've never felt a need to go elsewhere. The staff is professional and eager to help. They work with some amazing instructors who genuinely care for your comfort, education, and safety. I've also had service work done here and have no complaints--it was completed by the time quoted and they were able to work with me to ensure it was ready prior to a class/lake dive.

Got my open water certification with David Blastingame and Bonnie. I cannot say enough about my instructors, everyone I talked to in the shop and every other instructor I met. The whole experience was amazing and so much fun. David cooked us some wonderful pulled pork on certification day. We had a blast! Highly recommend using them for any scuba needs or certifications. You couldn’t find better people!

My GF and I recently went through the open water (& nitrox) certification with David and Bonnie. They were such an amazing team that went above and beyong to make us feel comfortable even though my GF was anxious at times. Amazing customer service....I live out of state and and a warranty issue on a piece of equipment purchased from them. They helped me work with the company rep and get a replacement shipped to me in time for my week of diving in Florida....Great people, will be visiting them again!

I took the SDI open water certification course through Scuba Adventures. The communication is on point from emails and texts explaining steps and reminders. The shop was great in getting me fitted with my personal equipment and later updating my wife's personal equipment. Jen was awesome as an instructor. She was knowledgeable, patient, reassuring, and encouraging. During the lake days the entire team was amazing and vigilant in keeping us safe and ensuring we well trained and disciplined divers. Barry and Jen fed off each other as instructors adding value during the weekend. The dive masters Brett, Vince, Tom, and Patrick were a reassuring presence as was dive master candidate Ryan. Finally, the shop once again was great when returning the rental equipment and helping with submitting my wife's regulator assembly for servicing and inspection. I am certainly going to be pursuing my advanced certification and my wife will be doing her nitrox so that we can do some deeper dives together in the clear blue. Thank you Scuba Adventures.

My wife and I had some regulators serviced by Scuba Adventures, and we were on a tight deadline. An issue with delivery from the service tech created a time crunch before our trip. Brent, the owner reached, out and offered to give us full equipment from his rental fleet for our trip if indeed our gear did not arrive in time. Fortunately it did, but being close to our departure date we didn't have time to go for a lake dive and check it out, so Brent (again) offered a solution and allowed us to use his pool, tanks and BCD's to check out our regs and get comfortable the day before our trip. I call that "outstanding" service; service like you don't see much anymore from businesses. I'm sold on using Scuba Adventures, Brent, and his team for all of my future diving needs!

My husband and I got our OW certification here a few years ago and have been back for a refresher and specialty class. We’ve had exceptional experiences every time. Our most recent class was with Barry, who was very thorough, patient, and knowledgeable. Brent, the shop owner, is also a great dude and a true expert on all things scuba! We’ve booked dive trips through this shop and have bought all our gear here. Never had anything but an awesome experience! We’ve gone diving through resorts several times and I feel like even as a new diver I was more competent than others more “experienced” than me. I feel like this is a testament to the great job the instructors at this facility do. They’re not just churning out certifications, they’re creating safe, competent divers. We will continue to visit this shop for all our scuba needs!!

Im new to the world of diving and catching on relatively quickly. 👍😊 I'm a Advance Open Water, Deep, Night, DrySuit, and Drift diver. 🌊🤿 It's amazing. ✨ I decided to take the class on Visual Inspection because I wanted to understand what the inside looked like. 🤔 What were the hazards. 🤔 Windal Adams was very informative and thorough. 💯 This shop is actually filled with quite wonderful and pleasant people. 🥰 Diving isn't for everyone although I wish more would just try because there is whole amazing world to discover. 🌎🐠 I'm rambling. 😜 Hats off to the instructor, my fellow classmates that are also part of the staff. 👏 You can tell they care. ❤️ The owner is friendly and very kind. 🤗 When you walk in they are there with a smile and ready to help you on new adventure. 🤝🎉

He did a very nice job catering to each students speed of progression. The open water dive was at Spring Lake in San Marcos. The instructors were amazing again. Very helpful, and very patient. They were very safety conscious and concerned about making sure everything was done properly which is what I wanted when it comes to scuba diving. Again, amazing experience from start to finish!

Great dive shop. Everyone is totally knowledgeable about products and services. I bought some equipment and took a refresher course. The refresher course was simple, with an online portion and an in-water portion in their great 15-foot pool on premises. My instructor was Barry, who was absolutely fantastic. The course was detailed enough to remind me of the basics I needed to get right back in the ocean. I highly recommend this shop.

I have not gone scuba diving in over 10 years and was concerned about how much I'd forgotten so I took a refresher course. My instructor, Barry, was phenomenal, patient, and informative. After two hours I felt like it all came rushing back and it reawakened my love for diving. I'm beyond grateful for Scuba Adventures and would highly recommend to new and experienced divers, alike!

Not surprisingly given the many excellent reviews , this place is a cut above all others. I have been diving for about 20 years now and this is the most professional, knowledgeable and user friendly outfit I have ever been to and I have been all over the world. Was in town for business and inquired about a scuba class, not really expecting much so last minute. Received an immediate response. As I usually do I asked too many questions, all were answered. Took a peak performance buoyancy class with David. Cannot say enough about this guy— Friendly, knowledgeable, a lot of real world experience that he shares with ease. What I really appreciate about him is the extent to which he holds you to a standard: he is a super nice guy but he wants to make sure that you know what you’re doing before you leave, in other words when you walk out with that card (which you will do because they have a card printer there unlike many places that mail it to you weeks later or forget to entirely) you’ve definitely earned it. He effortlessly weaves in stories, close calls etc with the lesson plan. There is a real sense of accomplishment walking out of here— I think their bias is to teach self improvement through scuba. What an awesome concept.If you are considering any level of additional training, definitely try these guys out. For me, this experience was a game changer, and since Ive been diving for quite a while, I honestly did not expect that.

Took a refresher and had a terrific instructor who ensured we will be diving safely! Pool was warm and we had ample time to practice all the things each of us felt we needed to focus on.

My husband and I had Certified Scuba Instructor Derrick who was very patient with the two of us as we learned professionalism to Snorkel. It’s more than googles and having a mouth piece. We had to know what size flippers we needed, how to breathe correctly with the mouth tube and how to move in the water.Thank You Derrick for the lesson. We both became comfortable in the pool. We know that ocean is something else! I Believe I can snorkel!!! I’m ready to try my skills on a smaller level with professional with me!!!

I have been diving for 20 years now, and lived in several states and dealt with dive shops all over the world.I must say that the service at SA is phenomenal, there is no such thing as a silly question when you pass the entrance door, and the staff and owner are extremely knowledgeable, patient and friendly.In addition, I really like the transparent way in which they handle annual service of equipment we entrust our lives to.My son got certified here as well and loved the experience.I have not been able to join one of their dive trips yet, but they all look amazing. Hope to travel with them in the near future.Great job Scuba Adventures!

Barry was an outstanding instructor after not diving for over 10 years, their amazing pool made the skills easy to practice and get comfortable with!!!

I took snorkeling lessons with Derek who was an excellent teacher. I was a nervous rookie, but he was very patient and encouraging as I was getting comfortable with the mask. I left feeling confident and ready for snorkeling on a family vacation in Hawaii.

What a friendly and knowledgeable shop! Everyone on staff is amazing and Derek was the ultimate instructor! He was able to breakdown the science and fun of scuba diving into an easy to learn manner. I had a lot of fears going into this experience and Derek equipped me with the knowledge and confidence to go diving in Hawaii within ONE week! I highly recommend you check this place out!
